wow, just browsing online and i found that steven soderbergh (oceans 11,12, 13, traffic, erin brockovich, etc) have filmed not one but two films on che guevara's life, starring benicio del toro.

according to imdb, guerrilla has a run time in excess of 250mins. heavy stuff.

IFC Films President Jonathan Sehring has revealed the official release plans for Steven Soderbergh's epic movie "Che" on ReelzChannel TV's "Dailies" program.

The biography of Cuban icon Che Guevera will premiere with limited runs in December at New York's Ziegfeld Theater and at Los Angeles' Landmark Theatre.

The December runs of the movie will be presented in its 4½-hour entirety with intermissions, although it will be presented in two parts when it opens wide in theaters in January 2009.

Specific dates in December were unrevealed, though its expected to be on the second weekend (December 12th).

dodgy asians!

wow, that's fast. it's prolly censored like that lust caution you sent me :p

i really wanna see this film. ive been very interested in guevara's life for many years now, and i loved 'the motorcycle diaries.'

Bit disappointed by the second part. It could have followed on from the first part in a million ways but they just choose one direction. Still worth a watch though.

I can't wait to see it, not out till some time after the 20th in the UK though. First was amazing I hope you're wrong Arnold and the second isn't dissapointing.

Not sure what you mean it could have followed on the first part in a million ways though, surely it follows on with what he did, i.e. going to Bolivia to start a new revolution. Don't tell me anything that will spoil the film. ;)
