A new film directed by Guy Ritchie. The trailer looks good and the cast looks better. Hopefully, this movie is a return to the norm. He's shot pretty damn high with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. Since then, his aim has been pretty low.

I'm confident that he's going to hit pretty close to the bulls-eye with RocknRolla.

I liked Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels but this looks alot more grittier, should be good.
 
Looks quite interesting with a great cast, but here's hoping he learned from his mistakes he made through the whole of Revolver.

This is being advertised in Britain a lot & that is worrying in itself. A pattern has emerged over the years & this normally means it's gonna be shit!

I truly hope not though.
 
It looks ridiculously bad to me. But then, I can't stand Guy Ritchie. :\
 
I liked Lock Stock & Snatch a helluva lot, but ever since he got mixed up with that deranged, power strident tart, he has seriously gone downhill.

For someone who was so desparate to be a respected actor, she failed miserably big time (except in Evita, probably because she sang everything!) Guy Ritchie must be at wits end by not casting her in a bigger movie. Could you imagine the shit he gets at home for this? :)
 
ppoll added. saw this last night. i was pretty drunk and thought it would be fun. it's just more of the same ritchie crime schtique. and to think this is meant to be the first in a trilogy.

i like ls&2sb and snatch. at least they had some nice quirks in them.
 
3/5. Liked it for the most part, but ultimately it felt like Guy Ritchie trying to be Guy Ritchie. That probably won't make sense until you see it. I don't know. Like Snatch and Lock, Stock felt natural and fluid where this one felt more contrived and excessively stylized as though he were actively trying to become the filmmaker he was even though he isn't anymore and probably needs to move on to a different type of movie.
 
Snatch and Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels are among my favorite movies, so I have high hopes for this. Maybe when it hits pay per view...
