So recently i watched a movie called Esoteric Agenda (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1131942400352901009)

and before that zeitgeist (http://freeflashplayer.net/flvplayer.swf?url=http://movies.nabolister.com/link.php?mi=2291&ln=link)

Both of these opened up alot of things to me that i hadnt been aware of before.

Also movies like "what the bleep do we know"

and this documentary i watched on bill cooper (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2829245257205113781) yesterday are great.

So i would like people to post other interesting documentaries, video, audio or articles that pertain to things that we post about here in this wonderful forum.

Love and lite

Michael Cremo is a member of the History of Science Society, the World Archeological Congress, the Philosophy of Science Association, the European Association of Archaeologists and a research associate in history and philosophy of science for the Bhaktivedanta Institute. After receiving a scholarship to study International Affairs at George Washington University, Michael began to study the ancient histories of India known as the Vedas. In this way, he has broadened his academic knowledge with spirituality from the Eastern tradition.

Cremo discusses evidence for extreme human antiquity and also presents his thesis that human life has devolved from a higher state. Ancient Sanskrit from India speaks of prior human civilizations dating back much further than current science supposes. Cremo has sought physical evidence to bear this out, among which is the pictured round hematite objects with parallel grooves that have been dated to 2 billion years ago. Found in a mine in South Africa, the 1-2 inch spheres might have been game pieces, he theorized.

Other objects include a coin found in an Illinois well that could be between 200,000 to 400,000 years old, and a small stone sculpture of a female figure found 300 ft. down in an Ohio layer, two million years old. Ancient Sanskrit texts write of long cycles that end in devastation, and the number of these correlate with modern paleontology's six great extinction events, he noted.

Cremo has flipped Darwin's theory that humans evolved from simpler life forms upside down. Citing ancient wisdom sources, he suggested that more sophisticated or advanced beings were here first and they produced simpler life forms themselves.

Paul Stamets: Mycologist

Paul Stamets: 6 ways mushrooms can save the world

FWVHMWAFBGW8GAL.TINY.jpg

Entrepreneurial mycologist Paul Stamets seeks to rescue the study of mushrooms from forest gourmets and psychedelic warlords. The focus of Stamets' research is the Northwest's native fungal genome, mycelium, but along the way he has filed 22 patents for mushroom-related technologies, including pesticidal fungi that trick insects into eating them, and mushrooms that can break down the neurotoxins used in nerve gas.

^i was just about to post this.

part 2 is incredible.

The Pharmacratic Inquisition

Thought provoking film about how all modern religions are based off of astrotheology and hallucinogenic drugs. The beginning is a little dull, but it helps for better understanding of the second half. If you have no interest in the astrology part of it, skip an hour and 15 minutes in.

Most interesting part is about how strange christian traditions such as sending kids on easter egg hunts, putting presents in stockings and under christmas trees, decorating christmas trees, and santa coming down the chimney all stem from ancient shamanic rituals involving amanita muscaria mushrooms.

Definitely a good watch if you've got 3 hours to spare.

On the subject of psi and consciousness:
Dr Dean Radind showed 3-second before precognition experiments. He has two books on this field: The Conscious Universe (1998) and Entangled Minds (2005), both excellent and both extremely empirically sound, much more so than, say, evolutionary psychology. His blog is:

http://deanradin.blogspot.com/

He gave a very recent talk at GoogleTech, it's an excellent summary of work and he is a very entertaining speaker though I would recommend skipping the questions at the end, Google clearly employs fookin' moronic lil shits:

Another prominent member of this very small field is the aforementioned Dr Rupert Sheldrake (www.sheldrake.org is his website with many, many riches including audio and video work that include his conversations with Terence McKenna and some skirmishes with Daniel Dennett and Richard Dawkins). He also gave a recent talk at GoogleTech after Dean did, the questions at the end are much more responsive because I think Dean opened up minds with his talk and also Rupert is a very persuasive, intelligent and charismatic speaker, so do listen to the questions:

Wow, lots of interesting links here...I'm particularly interested in learning more about evolutionary psychology. Thanks for the GoogleTech summary link, Bluelighter.

I just saw the anime movie Paprika, directed by Satoshi Kon, 2006.
http://www.amazon.com/Paprika-Satos..._bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1226856013&sr=8-1

I highly recommend this one. The plot bears some similarity to The Cell (the theme of getting inside someone's subconscious mind, and all the disturbing images that can go along with this, without Jennifer Lopez in a miniskirt), and also to the Matrix, for the whole theme of mind melding and the creation of virtual worlds.

There are many mentions of netsurfing bearing a lot of resemblance to dreaming and imagining, and suggestions that with the creation of virtual communities and virtual meeting spaces, we're on a course for the establishment of virtual worlds that are well-developed and all-sensory-encompassing, as the technology of human-machine interfaces advances.

In 2020, will Bluelight be a place I go to after putting a plug into my brainstem, to do as much very realistic-feeling virtual drugs as I want with people from all over the world, in a plush-looking velvet lounge or a turn of the century opium den, only to emerge as sober as I went in, as soon as I remove the plug?

This is definitely something that has popped into my mind quite often. The growing number of online communities. The networks that emerge. Over the long run, it becomes a part of your life. I've been lucky enough to be part of an online community (not BL, not yet at least :) ) where I grew quite fond and close to the small group of members.

All of this was not available 10 years ago, at least no where near to the extent where it is at today.

One can only wonder what lies ahead in terms of the structure of online communities, how big of a role they will play in our every day lives.

Thanks for the link ninjadan.

I'm not really into Japanese animation, but I'll def. give it a shot.

How interesting it is reading about Paprika in this thread, as I found it today at a movie rental store, and I was planning on watching it very soon.

Disproven Religion and Proves that 9/11 was a conspiracy.

I am not sure how many of you are aware of this video called Zeitgeist available, to watch free. I have posted the link below.

It shows similarities between Christ and Horus, and how religion is used to manipulate and control people.

This is a long video watch but if you want something that will challenge your faith or show you of what is really happening in the world around you this is WORTH WATCHING As well as discussing religion the video then talks about how WE as the people are being manipulated.
