It doesn't come out until August,but this looks very promising. It stars Seth Rogan and James Franco as a couple of stoners with a very rare strain of marijuana called Pineapple Express. Seth's character witnesses a cop murder someone and they both go on the run. It's good to see a stoner movie that doesn't look cliche' and dumbed down.

This is why polls shouldn't be put in place until after the movie starts. It is going to be a really good movie though. :)
 
Its bad.

i saw a preview screening of it and its really bad.

best bits are in the trailer and its not even a funny stoner movie.
I thought it would be as good as superbad.

O'RLY? How about posting you own review citing scenes verbatim and maybe I'll believe it. Right now you just sound like one of those geeks at AICN who love to lie and say that they've seen a movie and it turns out that the particular movie they've claimed to see isn't even showing an advanced screening.
 
I'm pretty excited for this film too. I really liked Superbad a lot but something about it disappointed me a little, regardless, I hope this lives up to my expectations and not left wanting something more again! The two main characters are great actors though, looks like they will have good chemistry together too! Can't wait!

Seth Rogan is a guy who does seponas for his job, and wears a suit through the entire film because one day while at work he sees a murder while waiting to sepona someone outside his house. the guy he is supposed to be seponaing actually turns out to be the "head" importer guy of this type of weed - pineapple express - which rogen has just bought from his local stoner dealer. he is smoking it right before he sees the murder and drops his spliff, and crashes into a coupel of cars before speeding off. the drug dealer hears the comotion and doesnt see who it is but runs out and finds the spilff, knowing its pineapple express, which leads him to the drug dealer and hence they are getting chased the whole freaking movie by this drug dealer.

although i didnt think this film was very good, there is one great scene where rogen and his drug dealer mate are hiding in the bush and they think that they will be able to be tracked by their mobile phones so rogen smashes his on a rock and the other guy throws his into the bush....so they try to call it realising they cant because rogen has smashed his phone....


Stoner humor. may be good if you watched it while stoned, but noweher near as good as Superbad.

I'm going to go see it tomorrow. The movie has gotten surprisingly good reviews. The only negative reviews seem to be from from critics who obviously hate weed and know nothing about it.
