On commercial tv tonight (Aus), there was a cop show called THE FORCE - BEHIND THE LINE. On this show there was a drug bust where a dealer was busted with heaps of drugs and lots of stolen goods.

While reporting on what the cops had found, one of the policemen was shown holding a bag with about 40 boxes of stilnox. (Zolpidem)

He said 'The criminal was probably going to use them to make Methamphetamine'

Now, either I have no idea what I am talking about, or our cops in Australia think everything is used to make speed.

This is blatant scare mongering, and is not acceptable on prime time tv. Period.

Did anyone else see this show? Your thoughts on this?

Haha, what an idiots, what did they think, they'll extract zolpidem out of Stilnox tablets and reduce them with Iodine/Phosphorous? Hihi.. shure...

Just as it has in Amerika, it appears that law enforcement is becoming a spectator sport in Australia--mainly because most drug "crimes" are nonviolent, easy to bust, and there is no shortage of contestants.
