Goes to show one of the toughest states for drug laws (compared to NSW, VIC and SA anyway) still don't want to crowd the jails with people who are just addicted or were caught with a few bickies out while munting the night away and popping into a coppa. You get 2 chances, then you can be put to trial whether you are given a record or not.

Queensland's drug court program this week saw its 250th graduate.
The drug court was introduced in 2000, with the aim of reducing drug-related crime.
It is a court sentencing option where drug users who commit crimes are sent to an intensive rehabilitation program, instead of jail.
Attorney-General Kerry Shine said a further 97 people were currently participating in the program.
"The program is only open to offenders who commit crimes because of their dependency and no violent or sexual offenders are eligible," he said.
"It contributes to the Queensland government priorities of protecting our children, enhancing community safety, improving healthcare and strengthening services to the community."
