Seriously one of the best shows Adult Swim has aired. I love this kind of humor, and I have always been a fan of Tom Goes to the Mayor. Every time I mention this show around people, they seem to think it's the dumbest show ever created, and it makes me really sad they can't see what I see. Tell me what you guys think about this show. yes! another t & e fan. yea man, tgttm was the first time i had ever seen their work and thought it was crazy funny. everything is so unexpected and random. imo you have to be quick to get all the jokes and weirdness. i know so many ppl that think its the gayest show ever,

i loved the one where they are playing that song "sports" and they have the old 80's keytars. lol, classsssic.

What is your definition of tolerable....Besides the man has ripped off so many comedians....Not just a couple jokes....More like almost everything he writes that is actually witty ( too bad he performs horribly, then it might be funny)..

Tom goes to the mayor only amused me for one season, so i stopped watching. I like this ok: waaaay more than mind of mencia.

If you like that show, you're a subnormal.

Yes indeed, big time fail... Tom goes to the Mayor was ok but that Tim and Eric shiat is awful, they look like the biggest shemale homo's I've ever seen..
 
I like what I've seen of the show. It's easy to pigeonhole it with some of the other anarchic comedy stuff on Adult Swim, but I don't think that's entirely fair. It is random. But for me the fact that it's live action gives it a dimension of expressiveness that absurdist comedy could really use more of--especially for Tim and Eric's disturbing and awkward "Todd Solondz after huffing paint thinner" approach to comedy. Here's an interview with Tim and Eric for The Onion. They aren't stupid people, they're trying to do comedy in new ways. Don't forget Bob Odenkirk vets these guys. From the interview it seems they've come to terms with the fact that 95% of people will not get this kind of comedy, too.

Tim and eric awesome show, great job is legendary. I have been stoned every time ive watched it but really i think that is what you are supposed to do in order to enjoy. It is a rather crazy show

^lol i know, how crazy was that shit. there is a part in the story where he talks about getting an injection of dilaudid and feeling nice from it.

i cant imagine how crazy that night was.
 
This show IMO is genius. The first thing people fail to notice is that the whole show is basically a joke about the 90's. If you pay attention to it, everything single thing they do is 90's inspired in some way. Secondly, you probably have to have either an understand of, or a similar sense of humor to theirs in order to find it funny.

I didn't like Tom goes to the Mayor at all until after I figured out their sense of humor.

Tim and Eric are EXTREMELY hit or miss.
