pyridine, is it illegal?

Is pyridine an illegal/watched substance in australia? and is it easy to get? (I dont wanna know where to get it)

Pyridine has one of the most awful smells IMO and even a sealed bottle often stinks. Open the top and all nearby will smell it.

Pyridine is used along with another cat # 1 chemical in the manufacture of heroin.

what is it used for? i had a quick look at my chem book so i guess it's used in drug manufactoring??

so if i did this with morphine it'd turn into di-acetyl-morphine?

I wasnt planning on making any drugs, I was just reading about how the kiwi's get their smack.

I read that on one island of NZ cant remember but on island has liquid heroin ranging from clear to an unhealthy looking "soy sauce" like liquid, the other has standard powder, but it is all homebake, thats crazy IMO.
