Time Wasters - Ways to Entertain Your Wasted Brain

As lots of us are starting work again either at uni or at jobs, I thought that this would be the perfect time to have a sticky thread showing people how best to waste their time.

Here's a few from me to start it off:

Skeet shooting. A chance to blow things out of the air with a pump action shotgun. Choose to shoot the chickens rather than the beer cans or clays.

im not sure how to do links but blah this game is fun. you feed the fishies and they grow and shit out coins. then you buy bigger fishies to eat them and they shit out diamonds which gives you more money and aliens invade the tank and stuff and you have to protect your fishies. i was addicted to this for so long

Absolutely brilliant vertical scrolling shooting game with beautiful Rez inspired graphics and an Ikaruga inspired black/white mode. Addictive as hell and a very small download - do it!

N: The Way of the Ninja.

The most addicitive and infuriating game in the world, ever. It's the best platformer ever made, you play a little stick man ninja who has to collect gold and dodge various robots, laser guns, homing missiles etc. while going round platform mazes, but it has the most amazing real world physics. You can do incredible gravity defying wall jumps, bounce backs and leaps of faith, and although you will die (in a cool yet sickeningly bone crunching / limbs flying around manner) lots (and LOTS) of times, every now and then you will have a true zen-like moment where you're playing faster than you're thinking, and you'll realise you've finished a level missing death by mere millimeters a dozen times without even trying

This game seriously beats most commercial releases on playability. Get it here:

Madness Interactive:

A cool flash game, the online version's ok but buggy, so if you can download the full version then do. It's basically like a 2d translation of a FPS (I know that makes no sense, but play it and you'll see what I mean). You play a cartoony little black and white guy who basically has to go through levels of increasingly harder and better armed bad guys, picking up guns and blowing them to shreds. It has cool styling and more gruesome deaths (heads getting holes blown in etc. etc.) and tons of cool weapons.

Have you played about with the visual settings? setting the mode to "fluid" is absolutely crazy. I played it like that on 2C-E and it was amazing. Actually easier than playing it sober.
