Biochemistry & ????

What can I do with a biochemistry/biotechnology bachlor's? Currently I am in a 4 year biochem/biotech program and after that I might go to Berkeley and get my masters in biochem/molecular biology.

Wtf is this shit? Can't they just make it a biochem major? Why the fuck are they sticking these additional majors?

Most people who major in that either go on to get higher degrees or go to medical/dental/etc school. With only a bachelors degree in biochem you are pretty useless, you can pretty much be either a lab tech or a teacher.

I dont know why they stick on the biotech part. Are your classes much different than someone who majors in biochem at another school?

Yea, after bachelors I am getting my masters. I checked the curriculum and they are all biology and chem classes but I haven't actually looked at my friend's curr.
