ya know the Catholic church actually has priests that specifically deal with exorcisms. their names aren't revealed (priest or possesed), but its stilled a widely accepted practice, like child molestation.

I dont know why her story got so huge, mustave leaked or sumtin. w00t 8 semesters of theology in HS:p

I dont think most people are aware of just how much darkness and evil lurkes within them. When its forced to the surface suddenly without warning, it may literally seem like another person taking over, ie a "demon".

Thats just my theory from kundalini experiences. Even if its true that doesnt mean that there may not be real demons and possesions.

I would like to hear the 40 audio tapes they made of her exorcisms.
 
It is a pretty sick story of Anneliese Michel who was a severe epileptic. She suffered massive depression and constant seizures.

How nice of the Church to put her through hell during the exorcism where she ended up dying of starvation/dehydration. They basically killed this poor sick girl who needed proper help.
 
for the record, the catholic church only does an handfull of exorcisms every year, if that. a case will not be reviewed by the arch diocese until the person has undergone multiple psychological/phisiological tests by multiple doctors over quite a long period of time. basically the church is contacted when nothing else will work and the symptoms fit a posession case more than a mental illness case.
 
this film looks pretty good. i'll watch it at some point. whether i go to the theatre for it or not will depend on the reviews i read in this thread.

I'm really really really fucking tired of "scary" movies with PG-13 ratings.

In fact, i'm disgusted at hollywood's obsession with PG-3 movies as of late.
 
The movie looks like something from a bad mushroom trip.
I can't relate it to anything else.

I made a mental note to "go see" until the I saw the rating at the end of the trailer.

Glad to see others feel this way too. Every time I see any preview and then the Pg-13 rating my temp. starts to rise, and I get jittery. I mean seriously, how in the fuck is something a 13 year old can handle going to affect me. I'm not saying that there are not any quality PG-13 movies out there, even in this genre... But there needs to be a change. I know it makes it more marketable, but I also know I won't be there. It really seems like everything is Pg-13. I'm surprised Constaintine was rated R, that surprised me. How i miss the old days when splatter films were everywhere, and R was the way it was. And better than R...Unrated, Nc-17
