Posting Guidelines for Australia/Asia/NZ/Middle East Drug Discussion:
The Do-List:
DO READ THE Australia/Asia/NZ/Middle East Drug Discussion Forum FAQ. Feel free to *bump* that FAQ anytime you like.
DO search for information about the topic you're considering posting, BEFORE you post the question, either by browsing pages of the forums, searching the internet or reading FAQs. There is a large list of links at the end of this post that may assist you.
DO post questions if/when your search results don't quite answer your query.
DO post pill reports that are as detailed as possible to www.pillreports.com in the appropriate regional forum.
DO post as "on topic" as possible.
DO delete any accidental 'multiple replies' you make. Only click the Submit button once, no matter what your browser says.
DO respect all posters right to have (and express) their opinion without fear of judgement, as you would expect them to respect yours.
DO observe "netiquette": (Don't type all in CAPS etc.)
DO think before you post (you'd be surprised...)
DO be nice. We all have cranky days, we wouldn't using an ecstasy information site if we didn't, but please try to put any attitude away when before you post.
DO feel free to discuss and request info on any and all drugs. This is primarily an ecstasy forum, but all drug discussion is permitted and encouraged. However for pharmaceuticals and less common substances, you may recieve a more thorough response in the Other Drugs forum.
The Don't-List:
DON'T solicit the sale of prohibited substances online. Any posts of this kind will be deleted immediately, without warning. Anyone overtly or covertly dealing on Bluelight may have their account deleted or suspended indefinitely. Please keep your posting of information discrete. There is no difference in the quality of info if you report on one pill, or your 'new batch' of pills. It should suffice to state that they are freely available.
DON'T post without browsing or searching the internet first; many topics have been covered and discussed in minute detail. We understand that the search function on Bluelight has been temporarily disabled, and that the huge volume of topics listed makes it impossible to complete an exhaustive search, but many topics come up again and again, and are often less than five forum pages back.
DON'T forget to include important information with each post, where relevant, such as location for pillreports/queries. Some information is best included in the TITLE of your post, for example: (MELB - Pill Info Request - Green CU). Then include as much relevant information in the post as you can.
DON'T post the real names of other posters (AT ALL) - this includes impersonating another member, or using someone else's name as your Bluelight name.
DON'T immediately jump down someone's neck for little slip-ups - we all make mistakes... a reminder or caution is usually enough.
DON'T flame someone just for the sake of flaming. Posts which contain nothing but flamage will be deleted and any other flames may be edited from your post. If you have a personal problem with someone, try to keep it to yourself, or at most, send them an email.
DON'T abuse the moderators and administrators. If we ask you to do, or not to do something, don't take it personally. We have a job to do, and 99.9% of the time (ok 95% of the time
wink.gif
), that's all we're doing.
Regards, The Moderators.

Quick Reference Guide to Australian Bluelight FAQs:
These questions come up over and over again, and due to the temporary disablement of the search function, we can't growl for you not searching for the information here before asking. Places that may offer suitable first-look information could be the New To XTC forum, and the FAQ Forum, which both cater to a wide range of frequently asked questions and important information that's helpful to know.
1. What is "Ecstacy?"
The name "ecstasy" is used to describe pills which come in a vast variety of colours and are stamped with a vast variety of logos. Strictly speaking, ecstasy pills should contain only MDMA, binders and fillers, however there is a much greater likelihood these days that any given pill will be a "bunk" pill (containing undesirable inactive or dangerous ingredients), or a "bomb" (containing other drugs that are not MDMA). These are produced cheaply (and predominantly locally) to imitate the appearance and/or effects of ecstasy pills, and can be screened using a Tester (see below).
2. What is MDMA?
MDMA is the common name for 3,4-methylenedioxy-N-methamphetamine, which is a synthetic chemical. It was first developed around the early 1900's, but it wasn't until much later, around the late 70's that it was first used, initially as a psychotherapeutic drug. MDMA soon became increasingly popular, and was made illegal. By the mid-80's it had made it's way into the developing underground rave scene, and has been a part of this community ever since. MDMA has several chemical cousins (MDA, MDEA, MBDB etc.), about which information can be found on Bluelight, and on various other resources.
3a. What are some of the side effects?
Common side effects of MDMA include:
(i) Positive effects: mood lift, increased energy, love and empathy, blissful feelings of wellbeing and harmony, occasionally pleasant visual distortion/hallucination (at high doses)
(ii) Negative effects: suppression of appetite, increased heartrate, increased blood pressure, increased temperature, eye jiggling, teeth grinding and jaw clenching, dehydration, nausea, dizziness, unpleasant hangover or comedown, depression for up to a week afterwards.
3b. Is there anything I can do to lessen these side effects?
Proper nutrition, hydration and some health supplements (such as 5-HTP, Mg, and vitamin anti-oxidants) can assist in the reduction of side effects, as can Pre-loading and Post-loading regimes (where supplements are taken prior to, and after taking ecstasy). Volumes have been written on this subject on Bluelight, and a good selection can be read in the EVERYONE READ! FAQ on the Australia/Asia/NZ/Middle East Drug Discussion Forum.
4. What should I not mix with MDMA?
Certain chemicals are contraindicated with MDMA, such as Dextromethorphan (DXM), Paramethoxyamphetamine (PMA), those that act as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and selective seratonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and others. This subject is extensive so the reasons why these chemicals are contraindicated will not be listed here, but they are very important. It's your health, read up on it.
5. I don't want to get dehydrated, how much water is too much?
Due to the elevation of temperature caused by amphetamines, your body needs more water than it normally would, to stave off dehydration. If you're dancing a lot, a good guide is to try to drink about 250-300mL of water per hour. The best guide is to take a sip when you feel thirsty, that way you won't overdo it. If you have too much water (try not to have over 1000mL per hour), your body can flush out it's essential salts due to water intoxication (hyponatremia), leading to cramping and in serious cases death.
6. Is there heroin or cocaine in "ecstasy"?
It is not cost-effective to use heroin or cocaine in ecstasy. It is most likely an entirely different chemical, or an impure reaction in the synthesis, or your particular body chemistry that is making you feel 'cokey' or 'smacky'.
7. How do I know what's in my pill?
In theory, the contents of a pill sold as "ecstacy" can be anything . Ideally, the contents will be anything between 50mg-150mg of MDMA, but in practice, the contents can be just as much of a gamble and risk as the initial purchase of such a pill. There are many reasons that a pill may contain other drug or non-drug ingredients, the primary one is cost of production. To make a cheaper pill (especially in the likeness of an existing "good" pill that has circulated), chemists may substitute other drugs in an attempt to churn out a quick batch of drugs that cashes in on the popularity of a pill type.
The short answer is that you can never be certain on the exact contents of a pill, but indications can be gleaned from the use of an EZ-Test. This test will give an idea as to what kinds of chemicals (MDxx family, Speed, 2CB, DXM) are present, but short of gas chromatography, there is no quantitative measure.
Other information (most recent information from the area where the pill was purchased is usually most applicable) may be available at www.pillreports.com , www.dancesafe.org and www.bluelight.ru , to name a few possible sources. It should be noted, however, that all information should be taken "with a grain of salt" because as usual, you can never believe all that you read. If in doubt, EZ-Test the pill for yourself, and insist on it. Do not take anybody's "word" for the contents of a pill you are unsure about, because in terms of your personal safety and health, their word is as good as the paper it isn't printed on.
8. How do you take "ecstasy"?
Orally (dropping, popping, rolling, munching), Nasally (snorting, railing, insufflating), Rectally (plugging, plunging, shelving, shafting, dating), Smoking (bickie bongs, chasing the dragon), Injecting (banging, shooting, whacking) and umm... Recycling (tang).
9a. What is an EZ-Test?
E-Z Test(r) is a trade name for an indicating test kit containing Marquis Reagent. The reagent reacts to to several substances, changing colour dependent upon the contents of the pill sample tested. See www.eztest.com for more information on this essential test. Locally produced versions of this test reagent are marketed and produced by Chemical Generation, and are called E-test, and E2-test.
9b. Where can I get one in Australia/Asia/NZ/Middle East?
The original EZ-Test can be purchased online by clicking the link at the top of each page. The benefit of this is that a portion of the proceeds from each purchase is donated back to Bluelight by EZ-Test. These testers and other brands (as mentioned above) can also be purchased at certain smoke/bong shops and some record stores.
10a.What is 5HTP?
5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan) is an amino acid, which is the precursor to seratonin. 5-HTP is actually the intermediate step between tryptophan and serotonin. 5-HTP is often used to help people bodies generate seratonin faster, when it is depleted. Normal activities related to lifestyle and diet can result in depleted seratonin levels in the brain, as can the use of ecstacy. Some of the many symptoms of low brain seratonin levels are food cravings (often counteracted by amphetamines), bouts of depression, frequent headaches, and vague muscle aches and pain (also exacerbated by extended periods of activity such as dancing). These symptoms are correctable by raising brain serotonin levels. Natural sources of 5-HT such as bananas, and turkey meat can assist, but 5-HTP is very much more effective. 5-HTP is quite effective as an anti-depressing agent, often effective in people who do not respond well to normal anti-depressants. 5-HTP is "quickly effective, restores depressed people to their former selves [and] is entirely without side effects" (Source: MT Murray PhD, "5-HTP: The natural way to overcome depression, obesity and insomnia").
There is a wealth of information on 5-HTP, including pre/post-loading, perceived side-effects, purchase information and usage guidelines contained in the Australia/Asia/NZ/Middle East Drug Discussion EVERYONE READ! FAQ (both in what is now referred to as the "deep FAQ" and also in the "definitive list" of 5-HTP posts).
10b. Where can I get 5-HTP in Australia/Asia/NZ/Middle East?
Currently the sale of 5-HTP is not legal in Australia, however it can be purchased in many overseas countries including NZ. Many people in Australia import this substance (legally) from the USA, and from NZ. There are various places from which to order 5-HTP online, and these can be easily found with a quick web search.
11. What is MDxx/GHB/DOB/2C-x etc.?
These drugs and many similar are listed with comprehensive information at Erowid (www.erowid.org). This should be your first reference for information on chemicals.
12. What makes xlr8's pussy tingle?
