I saw "The Science Of Love" on National Geographic channel last night and it's being repeated again tonight at 12:30am (check your guides and dont forget daylight saving if it applies to you). It was very interesting, and wasn't surprising to hear words like phenethylamine being used. Theyve also isolated love to four distinct areas in the brain so now they can use MRI scans to tell if you're in love or not! "Honey, will you marry me?" "Sure! Lets go get a brainscan". It also makes you wonder ... is it possible that a drug could make you temporarily feel like you were in love by activating the same areas of the brain?
Anyway check it out, I'll definately be watching it again
[Edit] just watched it, as it turns out it isnt a repeat, it's the next one in a small series. Last nights one was better as it focused more on the brain and the chemistry, oh well
