2CT7 and 5-meo-dipt (foxy)
I was just wondering what the current Australian laws are on these substances, is it illegal to import them?
I remember them for sale on the net not too long ago.
cheers

I am pretty sure that it's legal, otherwise some of us would of been locked up by now!!!
I had a look at the customs prohibited list a while back and I couldn't find them on there, but I remember asking in the "Other Drugs" forum and Murple said it was illegal...

5-MEO is illegal in the US I think.
I don't know anything about it, but these are both 'experimental' substances, and hence not illegal to buy and possess, just illegal to use for any purpose other than chemical experimentation (which doesn't involve human subjects)
I am sure that you can safely import 2ct7 if it's from an official company.

and goddamn, that 5-MeO-DiPT is some crazy shit

I spoke with customs about this for a while.
Aparently neither are prohibited imports. But then they got technical with me ..
"
Schedule 4 to the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations lists drugs of
dependence the importation into Australia is prohibited under the Customs Act.
When reading the schedule it is important to realise that precursors to the
substances listed in the schedule, and substances from which drugs in the list
can be generated/regenerated are also prohibited imports. Because of this the
import controls are broader and more extensive than a 'browse' of the schedule
may indicate. The existence of items in Schedule 4 similar to that of the drugs
proposed to be imported is enough to prompt most importers to check legalities
with the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
Importers are obliged to comply with both Federal law (eg: the Customs ACT 1901)
and the law of the relevant State/Territory into which the importation is to
take place. An importer may be liable to criminal prosecution under
State/Territory law regardless of whether they have committed an offence under
Federal law, and vice versa (or prosecution can occur under both sets of
legislation)."

Dear Mr ......
5-hydroxytryptophan is not a controlled substance or a prohibited import.
Therefore, you may personally import this substance for your own personal use.
You may import up to a 3-month supply every 3 months. No import permit or
prescription is required.

go to Erowid and look yourself please. its easy to find info if you want to, but its even easier to ask the board, educate yourself.
