A dealer I know did this too, however he didn't get charged and got the home invaders charged.
They did tell him to stop dealing though.

Yeah I used know somebody (gangster asian kid, heh) who is doing 8 years on an in invasion, robbery and threatening with a weapon. He robbed his pot dealer at gunpoint in front of their whole family because he said he was 'getting out of the game'. His dealer just called the cops and got him arrested. Sometimes the police are alright guys.
