A word about the moderation
Advanced Drug Discussion shouldn't need much moderation in the traditional sense. This is anticipated to be a low-traffic forum and should not require dedicated moderators (especially while still a provisional forum). If you see a BLUA violation, please hit topic report and a Senior Moderator or Administrator can take care of it.
The people who requested this forum predicted that the biggest problem would be confusion over what constituted an "advanced" topic. If this forum is designed to discuss fairly involved material, they are correct in that some sort of "quality control" is needed to keep things on track. Honestly it is impossible to predict what threads people might come up with, and just what other people will think of those topics, so to be fair the thread-rating feature will be activated for this forum.
Here is how it will work: Threads where people present journal articles should be considered "safe" while other more nebulous topics can be reviewed on a case by case basis. If you think a topic is appropriately advanced, please take two seconds out of your demanding internet schedule and rate it a 5 to make sure it stays in the forum. If you think a topic is better suited for the busy forums, please take two seconds out of your hectic life and rate it a 1. Ratings are displayed after seven votes. A senior staff member will then move the low rated threads.
