Most questions and discussion in Bluelight's drug forums are based on either personal experiences or fairly well known facts/statements. This forum is different.

Advanced Drug Discussion is devoted to discussing journal articles and other theoretical topics. This forum can accommodate any subject matter covered by Bluelight but it is intended to deal with more academic or hypothetical concerns. Some people feel that some of these topics already exist around Bluelight but get trampled in the high traffic forums, so consider this a centralized location where things can be discussed at a slower pace.

There are several options for topic selection:
  1. Share something you have found in a peer-reviewed journal and present it for open discussion. A full abstract should be provided at a bare minimum. This is similar to the Drugs in the Media format.
  2. Review/summarize a series of at least two related peer-reviewed articles and present summaries in a "for your information" format.
  3. Present a "problem" that you are trying to answer. Include what you have come up with so far and ask for assistance completing the solution.
  4. Present accepted facts and explore what (if anything) can be extrapolated beyond what is known.
  5. Present two supported theories that seem to be in conflict with each other and debate the relative merits of each.
  6. Present any topic that you feel is suitable for this forum.
Here are some tips for posting in Advanced Drug Discussion:
    1. Provide references or citations as much as possible. Pay attention to what you are contributing. Personal experiences are de-emphasized and if the total basis of your reply is a recollection of a personal experience, then it is probably wise to refrain from making that post.
    2. Do not post anything expecting immediate replies. A typical Bluelight thread might be resolved within a day, but topics in this forum might stretch out over weeks or even months.
    3. Do not use this forum for seeking advice on practical matters or for suggestions on how to do drugs.
    4. This forum only accepts new threads. Please do not expect threads started in other forums to be moved in here. If you see something in a busy forum you want to discuss in here, please just cross-post it over here yourself.
Notice: Please remember this is a provisional forum. A final decision to keep this forum will not be based on how many posts are made. It is simply a matter of what (if anything) the Advanced Drug Discussion forum adds to Bluelight.

Congratulations to him!

Also please note that BilZ0r will begin demarcating the content of this forum to keep things organized. The "thread rating" system was not working and has been dropped.
