How long should I wait after taking last dose morphine to start subutex without going into precipitated withdrawal

In my experience it depends a great deal on ur metabolism. I've been on subutex (IV as my ROA) 8mg daily for three years and use it often as a "ticket back" from my extended and frequent heroin relapses. I find as long as i wait until the withdrawals become unbearable (about 36-48 hours) I'm fine. However the half life off what ur doing may b longer so check that out. Also keep in mind... If ur on subutex for more than a week or two and have it built up in ur system u can go on opiate binges for a few days and go right back on subs immediately

Good info Speed King. Something I can't stress emphatically enough though, withdrawals from taking subutex long term, especially though non recommended ROA's is BRUTAL. Not I severity but in duration. I've tried coming off subs several times One tapered down to literally .5 of a mg daily and was kicking all night and taking hot showers for three and 1/2 weeks before i finally caved and got refilled my script. Ive read horror stories of people feeling like shit For months. If u decide to get on tex... Take it short term and ONLY sublingually in recommended doses
