Meth Why is porn so addictive on meth?

Meth and porn. Does anyone know why they combust together like they do? On meth, I can watch porn for 24 hours or more indeed can't do anything but watch porn for at least 24 hours. And it is SENSATIONAL. A few days later, I'll watch the same porn and not see what the attraction is. Anyone have any insight/info on why porn is so exhilirating while on meth?
 
A central part of the mechanism of dopaminergic stimulants is to amplify the reward associated with pleasant/effective stimuli/action, thus increasing stereotypical behaviors. This doesn't apply to masturbation only, but to everything. Stimulant abusers become increasingly limited and inflexible because they grow increasingly attached to certain behaviors due to the reward enforcing effect. This can be observed in the verbal jargon of habitual stimulant users, who tend toward "liking the sound of one's voice" and supplying an over-abundance of information and emotion which may be confusing and misleading to people unaware of the unnatural self-confidence behind.
 
it’s in interesting point to think about because almost all drugs operate off dopaminergic activity but only stimulants do this. Id argue stimulant dissociatives also make porn magical but not addictive or they don’t make you crave it like crack and meth do.

Then you have other dopaminergic drugs like opioids that make sex or porn be the last thing on your mind.

Apply it to another sensorsory reward beside sex. Food for example. Food is the last thing on a meth or crack users mind. But get high on weed and you crave food and it’s so much better. Get high on opioids and there’s that massive craving for sweets a lot of users report.



All the drugs are addictive due to their dopaminergic activity but there is obviously a lot more at play in what "natural” dopaminergic activities one chases while on different drugs.

Porn?! I got addicted to sex when I was doing meth. Luckily it was readily available else I wouldn't have made it to 2024. I can't be sure but I feel like porn wouldn't have cut it back in that day.

Ah, the memories.
 
All what you guys said plus that I find that meth lowers my inhibitions by like a lot.
 
What's so crazy is I actually hate porn, both sober and on meth. Yet there i fuckin was playing my fiddle for HOURS on end.

Dopamine, sex, and the pleasure system are some crazy fucking things.

Foreplay on meth to me is almost better than actual sex, but that's an opinion I uphold off meth too
 
do you feel like it's specific to actually 'watching porn' on a screen or does this mean going to strip clubs, hookers etc?

Sex on mushrooms and ecstasy is better.

Is better than sex on meth. It's better than sex on amphetamines. It's better than sex on acid.

The only body high erotic sexual sensual that was more amazing then hippie flipping on two nice pills of European MDMA and 15 g wet Mexican blue mushrooms was my unintentional 400 mg dose of
5-APB.

Extended orgasm without ejaculation. Ability to become a wrecked (I meant to say erect but a wreck is just as valid) was not impaired.

Body high and sensitivity was so elevated that I had an orgasm from the breeze from the ceiling fan blowing across my naked nipples.

I swear I actually lost consciousness from the absolute pleasured stimulation euphoria from just laying on the bed.

So I think that serotonin has an awful lot to do with this enhancement of erotic material /porn.
 
a side effect of amphetamine substances is hyper sexuality. So taking substances like meth or adderal can lead to addiction to porn. This addiction follows the pattern of other addictions and leads to the need or desire of those effected to view more “risky” or stronger images. This is really just an exaggerated pattern that porn viewing inherently causes. This statement is posted without judgment. We can easily see that for some reason we are driven to untraditional or societal deviance with sexual progression. Just look at the proliferation of “step family” porn. There must be some hard wiring in many of us that is for some reason perversely turned on by taboo sexual experiences.

The thing with natural selection is that it doesn’t give a fuck about us personally or our societal norms. It just presents all of the possible combinations that may benefit continued success and propagation of the species. That being said it’s still confusing as to why “step family” porn is so popular.
