Just cant go to sleep because your too stimulated? Dont you hate that feeling? My last roll this happened and just my body wouldnt go to sleep to next morning and I like going to bed by 2 right now (sometimes later) but generally i prefer earlier. Thats why last time I rolled I dosed earlier like around 5 or so. I never take stimulates so not used to the stimulating effect and quite intense since I dont use stimulates.

some like xanax, many ive seen on the rc market use Clonazolam....both of these bind to gaba a receptors if not mistaken

some use phenibut which bind to gaba b, which have a bit different effects; however would either one of these work after a "roll" if one wants to relax and sleep well ?

Thinking when coming down might be a good idea to pop the relaxer

btw did you know for serotonin sydrome something like a xanax is recommended? wondering if phenibut would work serotonin syndrome?

a benzo such as klonopin would be ideal.... phenibut, which you can order would work well.... I am RX'd trazadone which i find quite useful in these situations.

A hypnotic benzo like clonaz, some beers/drinks and a joint or a little h are my go to sleep inducers.

Usually have little trouble sleeping after mdma. But a little smoke of hash helps the after-party along and the drift into sleep.

Just some weed. I actually find that the afterglow and general exhaustion after MDMA make it easier to fall asleep than when sober. So I never have troubles relaxing or sleeping after MDMA

Clonazepam/Klonopin helps decrease serotonin synthesis so this would be helpful for serotonin syndrome as well as sleep, lots of times with psychedelics its a kind of serotonin called 5-HT2A that is stimulating and keeps you awake, 5-HT2A antagonists like Trazadone are good for sleeping in this case. Meds like Clonidine and propranolol help shut down adrenaline but sometimes they inhibit the production of melatonin so it's a good idea to take extended release melatonin with them. Also normally your brain makes melatonin out of serotonin so taking melatonin to sleep after a roll is a good idea, it's healthy even if you don't sleep.

Do you guys always have trouble getting to sleep or relaxing after a roll? Couldn't imagine needing a sleeping aid or a benzo or something afterwards, can hardly imagine a more relaxed feeling than when smoking a spliff after a good roll :D

I think the people who have problems with sleep normally are vulnerable, that and people with ADHD/autism spectrum disorders. That being said I put myself in the ADHD/autism spectrum category with a history of sleep issues since birth and I always had trouble after sleeping on thoroughly tested pills when other people slept fine. People with serotonin mutations (similar to autism) have been shown in more than one study to have more adverse reactions and negative long term effects anyways.

+1 If you haven't been using GHB a couple of beers are quite relaxing and safe plus some of the anti psychotic seroquel can help you drift off to sleep. If you want to nod off with some H make sure you have not taken any benzo's recently. Benzo's and smack is combo that will make you pass out but if your unlucky you might not wake up.

Do you have a source for this? That's interesting

Fasho, here are some studies related to this 5-HTTLPR polymorphism, it appears people who carry the S allele are more vulnerable to bad effects of MDMA/Serotonin depletion, polymorphism has been associated with neuroticism and increased risk for affective disorders in non-users. A doctor a long time ago told me that autistic people tend to have more adverse reactions to MDMA, my personal experience and the following studies seem to agree with this, though the polymorphism is not necessarily autism, but might be associated with autistic traits.
I think that when using MDMA for PTSD etc. the S allele should be tested for, and then at that point oxytocin nasal spray etc. should be considered in place of MDMA. Or if they are going to use MDMA make sure to get a lot of 5-HTP/L-Tryptophan/ECGC in them on the comedown because some of the bad effects seem to be related to serotonin depletion anyways. 5-HTP has been shown to reduce serotonin damage regardless of SERT polymorphisms though.

Findings suggest that the s allele may moderate sleep disturbance in response to chronic stress."

A benzo.. maybe some cocktails... eh, I'm not too bothered by the comedown usually. Some good molly makes it a ok experience.

Ketamine usually comes out at the parties I go to when the MDMA is wearing off. It adds another stage to the night, well morning, and is good medicine.

I prefer just waiting till im naturally tired. I dont like TRYING to go to sleep.
