What is the science behind "dab sweats"?

I have used shatter/crumble BHO and various other extraction methods like Co2 and Iso/ethyl oils for over 2 years now. It is honestly my favorite form of cannabis, so smooth and clean. That's beside the point though, I'm sure other dabbers out there know of the dab sweats. After a good fat dab (.1 or more) you get a very sweaty face, a rapid secretion of sweat and boom, your baked. But why? I was wondering if anyone knows why it occurs, is it a reaction from the cannabinoids or from the smoke? Just curious.

i've wondered this myself, i've always attributed it to a sort of panic or fight/flight response in the body. I only get the sweats when I take a rip fat enough to make my chest hurt, so that's my guess.

Probably because you're taking in a huge amount of concentrates in one breath. Coming up on any drug in high doses makes me sweat, cannabis is no different.
