The Weymouth 25-year-old from 43 Bicknell Road was found opening a UPS delivery at a Manomet Road home and stealing the items inside. He then tried to pry open the home’s backdoor before police arrested him.
Detectives were called to the area of Blackstone Road and Sagamore Road at 5 p.m. after callers reported Dorsey going door to door knocking and carrying a bag. They also observed him break into someone’s garage on Wessagusett Road, police said.
The Weymouth man had told neighbors who confronted him that he was conducting a survey about opening a marijuana dispensary, police said.
When Dorsey was apprehended by police, he was found with a list of his daily errands, which he titled “goals for Friday...” The list included finding crystal meth, getting gold watch, doing a breaking and entering or robbing a dealer, selling drugs, getting coke, and doing one altruistic act for a stranger.
