Valium (Diazepam) effect on fear levels?

Hi everyone, have posted this in another section (no idea if it's the right one so I'm sorry) I've got generalized anxiety from a traumatic event (jumped by 15 people, broken jaw etc.) and want to know purely the effects of Valium in terms of do they rid you guys of fear and any anxiety because I start bricking it for no reason by just being on nights out with people and I'm always convinced a fight will kick off. Dosage and what not isn't really relevant- just wondering about the effects specifically on how much you care and if it makes you fear less. Thanks.
