Can I take a 10mg ambien 5 or 6 hours after taking 10mg Valium?

It's not recommended to mix the two.
That said, I do it all the time. Plenty of people are prescribed both. You just shouldn't take them together.
I honestly think that ambien cancels valium out and vice versa. Also, ambien is useless if you've taken opiates as well. It's a weird drug. It really only works when taken alone.
This is all my personal experience. Every One is different.

I think you'll be a-ok because ambien if it's what I think it is (zolpidem) has a halflife of about three hours so you should be 100% alive and well after taking the vallium

Chewing it is faster and more effective than nasal

and it sounds like you're a bit too new to downers to be combing two at once.
as a rule, never double down.

Yeah, ambien wears off in that timeframe anyway. but be careful
