(Not directly drugs related but relevant given what he's been threatening to do)

Top Republicans are urging Attorney General Jeff Sessions to remove himself from an FBI probe into alleged Russian interference in the US election. Mr Sessions is under fire after it emerged he had met Russia's ambassador during the election - despite telling his confirmation hearing he had "no communications with the Russians". Democratic politicians say he misled the hearing and should resign. Mr Sessions has called the accusations "unbelievable" and "false". Claims of Russian interference in the election have dogged President Donald Trump.

The US intelligence community believes the alleged Russian hacking of Democratic organisations was carried out to help Mr Trump defeat Democrat Hillary Clinton. Mr Trump's National Security Adviser, Michael Flynn, was fired last month after he misled the White House about his conversations with Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak, allegedly regarding sanctions against Moscow.

Put him in one of his prisons. F&cker. He was all ready and comfortable with throwing pot smokers in one of his jails. I guess Nature (and karma) took over. Thank you Mother Nature! Process.

He is a so good as gone. NEXT!!

this decrepit fuck needs to quite shitting his pants and step aside from being alive already.

Heso a well known segregation down here in Alabama. He lost a federal judgeship over ithe in the late 80s when republicans controlled everything.

He will roll back all the progress we have made toward pot decriminalization

He isn't going anyhwere

You guys are getting your hopes up. He is not going anywhere. And he will increase our prison population with millions of more innocent people. They have already said they are going to send the DEA into the states that have already legalized pot to shut down dispensaries and lock up anyone unlucky enough to get caught with pot. Jeff Sessions has also just sent a memo around to all judges and DA's saying they need to follow the mandatory minimums in drug crimes.. Jeff Sessions is one of the most evil and satanic men in the Trump administration. Only pure evil people would want to increase prisoners and prison sentences for innocent people. Sessions is obviously getting money from the private prison industrial complex or he is just plain evil or maybe a mix of the two.

The DEA can't enforce the law from Anchorage to San Diego all by themselves...they don't have the manpower. They rely on local law enforcement to carry out their dictates. How enthusiastic do you think they'll be to do that? Maybe fairly enthusiastic pre-2012, but we have a working model for how marijuana legalization looks now and the sky hasn't fallen.

And for anyone thinking that there's absolutely no cleavage between the objectives of the federal gov't and the objectives of local authorities, I would refer you to the issue of immigration...when I was back where my family is from the head of the police held a meeting saying that there would be no changes in how the local police conduct law enforcement, despite federal incentives to do so (mostly on the issue of investigating someone's citizenship status during an initial investigation, which the cops there don't do). Other officials in major cities have said that they won't comply with federal demands, even if it means that they get federal funding cut...I believe that NYC is one of these, actually.

That's why I'm not terribly worried about a major federal crackdown on marijuana in places where it's already legalized. This movement wasn't created by the government (where has marijuana been legalized by a piece of legislation moving through standard governmental bodies?) and it won't be broken by it either. Prohibitionists can enjoy the dustbin of history. :)
