Topical Gabapentin

I was recently prescribed a topical cream with gabapentin and lidocaine, and I was wondering if it has any recreational value? Would the gabapentin stay in the localized area or enter your bloodstream? Basically, is there any recreational value to it?

Ehhh, even though gaba works fine orally, I don't think you are going to get enough from the patch to have rec value. The first time I gook gaba, I had to hit around 1500mgs to really feel it good.

Yeah, I have a compressed nerve in my arm and it's supposed to help with the nerve pain. It's just a gel that you apply to the affected area.
