Hi guys. On Lexapro (day) and Trazodone (for Sleep), but SSRIS makes orgasm not as pleasurable anymore. I'm on testosterone and its still not all there.

What is everyone's experience with weed with the intention of having a great orgasm? Lex works so well for me accept for sex and sleep.

Any other suggestions or tips that you have found worked? Viagra? Wellbutrin? Any other illegal drugs?

Lexapro killed my sex drive too. But once my doctor lowered my dose from 30mg to 20mg and added Wellbutrin, it’s been SKY HIGH.

I wouldn't rely on weed to increase sexual performance. Anything that has agonistic effects on the 5HT1A receptors will ultimately decrease sex drive. Combined with the Serotonin Reuptake Inhibition effects of Lexapro and Trazodone it could potentially kill it completely. The overall increase in binding rate and subsequent 5-HT receptor activation from the anti-depressants you're taking is effectively replacing the pleasure you would otherwise experience during sex and climax. You can counteract this by either reducing your anti-depressant dosage or temporarily using a 5-HT receptor antagonist to give these receptors enough time to re-sensitize. But then you'd be reducing Serotonin binding rate on these receptors, which would defeat the purpose of using anti-depressants in the first place.

There is a lot of evidence to support Wellbutrin alleviating low libido caused by SSRIs and/or depression. If you can manage the side effects, this is probably your best option short of fully quitting the antidepressants.

Hey man for the 5-HT receptor antagonist, is this something that is quick acting? Depending on your answer, i got potentially take it like 1 hour or two before sex and have good sex.

Is this over the counter or doc prescribed?

Ask for a lower dose, a different med, or none at all if that’s even a little advisable. A different med is probably key.

Sounds like OP needs some dopamine. I know adderall has been prescribed for this issue before. 5-10mg IR would do it.
Adderall wouldn't give the OP more dopamine. It would simply increase the rate of release, leading to the depletion of the neurotransmitter further down the line. A high Tyrosine diet could be beneficial though.

I'm on 25 mg Zoloft (for 2 years, mind you) and marijuana has been the best aphrodisiac I've ever come across.
But then again, weed has always been that way with my libido. So yes weed helps if it helped before the ssri.

If you're just starting out with the antidepressant, it may take a couple weeks but your sex drive/peen sensation should go back to normal.
