Tianeptine - Eventual upregulation of serotonin?

Now i do not know very much about tianeptine, but i have done a bit of research, and from what i understand, it is a serotonin reuptake enhancer, meaning that it causes serotonin to be taken back up on the opposite end of a synapse at a faster rate than it normally would. Wouldnt this cause an upregulation in serotonin, leading to an excess of serotonin when the drug is not in the system? If it does upregulate it AND serotonin is responsible for some depressive disorders, than shouldnt coming off a tianeptine (assuming youre not addicted to it) relieve some sort of depression, even if its only for maybe a week or so?

Bumping this because i really want to see if anyone has something to say about it
