I've added a dropdown to filter by thread prefix (category). Let me know what you guys think. 
I've been trying to make the massive amount of information we have here from the past 20 years more usable by being able to be searched better. This is the first step. Sadly, we only relatively recently added prefixes in PD, but we'll be working to categorize threads going back in time, slowly but surely.
Next on the horizon is real search bars that are powered by web scrapers, to bypass Xenforo's unfortunately poor built-in search functionality.
