Testing pills?

First of all when you test MDMA, if the majority of it in indeed MDMA, would it test negative for even a slightest adulterant? Or how would you know any adulterant is present is it's not dominant?
And when you test a pill do you just cut a little piece off of it? Do you crush it into a powder form first? What's the best way?

Using tests that don't react to the presence of MDxx but does show for common adulterants would help....but does such a test kit exist?

Most of the test kits indicate MDxx as the main test - you can often tell with the common pills if they are adulterated or not.

A lot have zero MDxx in them and its the lack of a reaction that gives them away - others may contain MDxx + adulterant and the common (older ones) like Speed, Meth, Ketamine etc would indicate by a color change prior to the MDxx reaction.

The problem no is there are simply so many weird combinations and RC's being pressed into pills that its not always that easy to see.

When testing you just need a small scraping off the pill - you don't need a lot of powder so snapping bits off your pill would be a waste.
