I think your definantly over reacting. Theres no need to quit your job. Remember things always seem twice as bad when your tired.
I think retiring due to shakes its just a lazy early retirement cop out plan to be honest.

In the unlikely event that you are being at all serious, then the answers to your questions are simple:

1. No. I highly doubt many of us here have experience of being a heart surgeon that shits and pukes everywhere from smoking 7g of rock to wind down after an operation.

2. Yes. You need to stop now before you lose your job, kill yourself or kill your patient - or all three.
