New here! I just have a couple simple questions and couldn?t seem to find any posts that matched my situation. I?m getting ready to start suboxone. I have had an opiate, specifically oxy addiction for about a year maybe a little longer. I know that you are recommended to wait some time before starting suboxone to avoid precipitated withdrawals. I usually just take oxy about 80-120mg a day but I couldn?t get ahold of any a few days before I got my suboxone al I could get was methadone so to avoid going into withdrawals before my appointment I?ve been taking the methadone. Now I know this has a longer half life so I need to wait longer before starting my suboxone but how long? I?ve heard everywhere from 24 hours to a week. I?ve only taken about 40mg over the past three days. Any help is appreciated!
