I want to believe this epidemic's a phase.
What I speak of is this drug use that's caused such a craze;
Yet I fear that the 12 year old hiding in his room smoking pot?
That in 10 years I may see him heroin causing his once beautiful teeth to now rot;
Or rather worse he may end up much too young in his grave.
Because of the crack, coke, and meth that made him their slave;
IT could happen to your son or daughter or even to mine. Why, oh why Lord, are we all too often not given a sign?
What can we do about this? What can we say? I suppose alls we can do is just kneel down and pray.
*****I'm not implying that marijuana leads to worse drugs necessarily. I know this isn't the best but I'm 8 days clean today (oxycodone and methadone) and I find writing to be very therapeutical. Much love to all
