So last night SWIM went to the beach with some friends and they all ate some very high quality LSD white on white blotter. It was a full moon and beautiful night apparently, clear skies and some spotted clouds floating about. At one point throughout the night SWIM went to lay in the sand and looked up to the sky to see a huge skull shaped cloud turn into a Grateful Dead Stealie skull for about 10 seconds and then it dissipated. SWIM is a pretty firm believer in the mind seeing what it wants, but also, SWIM was in no way thinking of Grateful Dead at that time, it just sort of happened. Kind of makes SWIM wonder ;) Any experiences similar to this anybody wants to share? Doesn't have to be Grateful Dead related of course

Did the skull speak with James Earl Jones' voice? Maybe your real father was a member of the Grateful Dead, and he was trying to tell you to accept your destiny, kill your uncle and reclaim the Pridelands ;)

Seriously: LSD has a tendency to send your mind's pattern-recognition processes into overdrive, and to promote the dredging-up of subconscious memories and associations.

And seeing as how "The Grateful Dead" are pretty firmly associated with "LSD" in pop-culture, the oddest thing about seeing a Grateful Dead logo on an LSD trip is probably how painfully obvious it is. Really, LSD (*especially* LSD, due to its strong "mindfuck" properties) can produce way more obscure connections.

I tend to easily see forms in clouds when sober, while tripping it's an easier task. It's a lovely activity indeed. Once on 4-ho-met I saw giant Empire star-wars spaceships on the clouds, what an euforic feeling!
