Hi so I have two discs out, one is badly pushing in to my nerves. I have went threw percs and somas upping mgs of percs. Then had one spinal shot, switched trying subutex for off use pain (did not work) started on 10mg opanas twice a day(new pain doc) then realized they have 10 percent bioavailability orally ..so I went back and switched them out for perc 7.5 4 times a day. Wondering if anyone can give advice from past or current situations( have also tryed nucynta) looking for maybe a long acting with something for short term break threw pain bot sure really . thx in advance

Ive been reading a lot recently that spinal stenosis patients have been using methadone for break through pain. There's also stuff like pregabalin (lyrica) that will deal with neuropathic pain

No, especially if you have the MRI or Xrays to prove your spinal injury. It should be relatively easy actually

Bioavailability and duration actually. Methadone's bioavailability is somewhere around 85%, whereas oxymorphone's is 10%, and methadone's analgesic half-life is approximately 6hours. Its just overall a better option
