So Marvin Beans renders a molecule:

H—Asx—Glx—Pro—OH

When I type in BZP, and shows similar structures as:

VyWKo.jpg

Also I started the excipient article on WP for PEG-PVA; as in Polyethylene Glycol-Polyvinyl Alcohol; from an American Pharmaceutical Review magazine that included in the main cover story an article which I read in a lobby at where my intensive out-patient group is held.

However Marvin Beans gives PEGPVA as:

H—Pro—Glu—Gly—Pro—Val—Ala—OH

and when I click to view properties as like the above "BZP" compound, it doesn't even give me comparable; it flashes a red "invalid structure" and tells me I didn't specify a structure or URL. What gives? What is the above? I want to write a disambiguation for the two above (I believe are?) supposed macro-molecules so as to not confuse them for the excipient and stimulant, respectively.

Any help is appreciated.

P.S. "MDMA" is given as:

H—Met—Asp—Met—Ala—OH

also.

(Methyl 2-aminobutanedioic methyl hydroxy-alanine?)

Is this just an arbitrary use of nomenclature that Marvin Beans does or something?

Marvin Beans is interpreting your names as peptides. People use a way of simplifying peptides by converting amino acids to characters.
