Does anyone know what the selected text below means regarding tolerance?. Could there be drugs developed that act on what is being described below???
Morphine is a spinal analgesic agent [100] that exerts its effect by binding mainly to u-opioid receptors. Activating the u-opioid receptor has been shown to inhibit the N-type CaV channel current by interacting with the pore-forming ?1 subunit via the G-protein (Figure 3) [101105]. This inhibition of the N-type CaV channel contributes to morphine analgesia and uncoupling of the opioid receptor and G-protein [106109] may underlie morphine tolerance development.

Antagonize nmda, disconnect neural network = failure to access memory of learned tolerance, to mu, morphine in this case. Nmda tolerance on the other hand, is another subject.
