After a few months of wondering and discussion, I really have to turn to Bluelight in order to figure out what in the world happened a few months ago.
In early June of last year, a group of friends headed to a large music festival in Tennessee, and took some party favors with them, including some molly and LSD. The molly was white to off white, and had large crystallized chunks, so it had to be broken up at their camp before setting off into their shows. On the first night, two of them insufflated some of the "molly" and had the normal effects while attending that night's shows. On the third day, the entire group did the same and had the same experience. They returned home with some leftovers, and decided to save it for a special occasion.
Fast forward a month to a birthday party a month later, and the time seemed right. The substance had re-crystallized and had to be broken up again, but eventually a small amount was taken by two of the partygoers before everyone arrived, and the same results were experienced, euphoria, increased alertness, and a general feeling of well-being. Five hours later, as the party is in full throttle, about 7-8 of the attendees retire to the house (party was outside) to finish the rest of the bag. Lines are divided and the host took the first one, then decided to depart outside, as he did not want to be missing from his own party for very long. As he left the room, the carpet outside began to "crawl," as if he was coming up on a very strong trip. He tried to shake it off, when another friend who had attended the festival entered the hallway he was in and asked what was wrong, as the host looked at him, his friend, M, knew what was happening, as they have tripped together multiple times. The host did not want to go outside, as he knew hallucinations would follow and did not want the rest of the people at the party seeing him.
At this point the two of them retired to the basement, where M asked the host what was happening. White brick walls in the basement were turning to clay and melting, M sounded as if he was miles away. The host was in the full throes of an intense trip, and he was beginning to freak out, as he did not plan on tripping and just wanted to roll. They went to the second floor of the house and sat there, then retired to the basement again. On the way to the basement, J, who had taken the second line in the room with the host ran into the house and exclaimed, "Here's your dollar..." (used to take the "molly") "... Oh. I found you another dollar. Here. Have it. This isn't right! What the fuck is this shit?!" J had also begun to trip outside, seeing trees waving in the "wind," even though there was no wind, facial warping on others at the party, etc. The host, M, and J retired to the basement and rode out the rest of the trip, which lasted all of 15 minutes, but was incredibly intense. After the visuals, the normal MDMA effects set in, and the party went smoothly after that. Two others in the room also had visuals from the "Molly," while the other 4 attendees who had taken it did not.
What I'm trying to ask is, does this sound familiar to anyone else? Why in the world would visuals/tripping mind games occur only once, and only to four out of 8 people, when this molly was taken on multiple occasions? Was it cut with something that only four of the lines had, and if so, what in the world could it have been?
