Harm Reduction snorting ephedrine

What are the dangers of snorting ephedrine? My friend has just snorted 50mg of ephedrine (he crushed the ephedrine pill and snorted it). Is he running any serious risks?

If its like pseudoephedrine id expect just the same risks of stimulants in general rapid heart sweating panic ect. Id stop snorting them that cant be good for your nose. Have you tried just swallowing it?

If they aren't familiar with ephedrine I'd suggest trying them orally first.

Do the pills have anything other than ephedrine in them? Most OTC ephedrine products where I am also contain at least one other ingredient, and generally speaking you'd want to avoid snoring them.

Avoid taking any more ephedrine until they know how it affects them. Also avoid other stimulants like caffeine, amphetamine, etc. until the effects wear off.
