Heroin Shooting in tiny veins is killing my skin

Ok so I have been shooting heroin for 10 years now and shooting heavily (2 grams a day on average). My veins are destroyed. So I have been able to go I'm some teeny ones that are right under the surface of my skin for about a year now. Thing is, my skin is literally necrotic. No abscesses. I take every precaution (I am a harm reduction specialist. I have all the equipment I need. New rig every time etc.) I am wondering if anyone might know what is going on. Is it the potency (my shots are usually about 3/4 g to 70 units of water and that is admittedly like syrup). Is It a bad cut? That seems unlikely because I use 2 different dealers and they have very different product. It heals fine if I leave it alone. I can send pics if anyone wants

I struggle with this same thing. I've gone everywhere you can imagine over the years. The ones on/around my kneecaps were super tiny.

The problem is I do not have many spots I can hit more than once, lately. So I'm desperately trying to figure out what to do. When I do tie off, rare anymore, but when I do on the arms.. My skin will become blotchy black/purple.

Looking forward so others don’t fall victim to this. If you guys want to share what types of needles you typically use/used. Do/did you typically use a needle designed for sub cutaneous.. an insulin rig? How often did you use a new rig?

Subcutaneous rigs are designed to deliver one dose just past the skin and because of production cost dull right away. They use tinny needles that clog, fail to flash and repeatedly push through veins. This causes deterioration and collapsed veins.

Who uses or used 3ml strong needle rigs? What has been your experience.

Hydration is major factor that determines if your veins are up to the task.. I know it’s definitely not on people’s minds when hitting it hard.. but a bottle or two of Gatorade or substitute can go a long way and make your experience better.
