Sexual problems from my medication...

Hi guys :) this is very embarrasing but i am 25 years old and havent been able to achieve a full erection for a long time now. i have been on Clonazepam 4 mg a day and temazepam 30 mg at night for the last 7 years. i feel like an old man and my healthy drug free girlfriend whom i have children with is upset. she needs an active sex life and so do i. i just feel so bad for her. my problem is if i even try to reduce my dosage by a half mg i go into WD and start having auditory and visual problems, DTs, shakes etc. im very scared about my future because im so dependant on benzos. will i ever be able to have sex like a normal man should? should i ask my MD about Viagra? thanks
 
Oh and i forgot to mention i take 10 grams of strong Kratom twice daily as i am a recovering Heroin addict. i have been clean off smack for 5 years.
 
7 years on benzos? Man I'm sorry this happened. That's the problem right there. Talk to your doctor about how much he royally fucked your brain chemistry. Find out if mixing sex-aid drugs are safe with benzos firstly.

EDIT: MAN, daily opiate use? Tell your penis i'm sorry for him/her. At least you're not on those dreaded SSRIs tho right?
 
Man, i forgot to mention my doctor started me on an SSRI zoloft exactly one month ago. this is horrible. i dont abuse my meds as my girlfriend hands them out to me daily so im not tempted. i wish i could go back in time and never touch a benzo in the first place. this is fucking my life up.
 
Also im scared to confront my doctor on how he did fuck up my brain chemistry. but im scared he will cut me off or something i dont know. i get no benefit from my anxiety meds, all they do is keep me out of WD

Big hugs, I think if you want your sex life to improve your first step is seeing your doctor. I'd be talking to them about tapering off the benzos.
SSRIs are a big contributor to sexual dysfunction BUT the positives outweigh the negatives if you are struggling with depression/anxiety. Your doctor can prescribe stuff like Wellbutrin to take while on an SSRI which in my experience improves your SSRI sex life ten fold.
Also I think it's really bad form your doctor has kept you subscribed with bennys for so long :-(

Thanks Missvl. i think my doctor is scared to taper me off. i told her i tried tapering a half mg and she got angry and told me to NEVER do that again! i understand the risks of benzo WD, but maybey i just need to find a new doctor that actually gives a crap about my wellbeing. i feel like im her human test subject. shes always "practicing" new medication with me. i need a new doc, and a plan to get off of the meds sllloooowley lol

Definitely find a new doctor, if she knows you want to taper off and won't help you do it safely then she's pretty useless :-/
You'll probably find a different doctor will not be impressed with your current prescription list.

those fuckin doc's are like paid to promote drugs n shit man. They push any pill onto someone with a "disorder" aka "natural emotion". IMO they do more damage than good. I mean.... your dick can't stand for long AND now you're going on SSRIs?

I think she's trynna make u into a priest or something
 
Potatoe man you are right. i now see the corruption in the doctors. i just trusted my doctor 7 years ago, and this is what happens. i was more stable when i was a heroin addict years ago than i am now on all this crap there svoving down my throat. i wish i could just choose to not take any of these meds. im honestly just effin terrified of coming off my meds. in my experience heroin WD is a walk in the park compared to WD from long term, daily benzo use.
 
it's sad bro. BZD WD is worse than opie WD. I wish u the best of luck my friend, to you and your schlong. Get off em pills. I use pharms as tools. I do not believe in the therapeutic use of them.
 
I think you could really benefit from going to rehab man kick all the drugs it will still take awhile for your libido to recover but will get you on track sorry to hear it brother hope it works out for you
 
I have been on a high dose of benzos for over ten years and I have had no problems.

Maybe it's the Kratom? That shit isn't even meant for human consumption.
 
Maybe ask your doctor for a script of silindifil. My meds gave me the same problem as you and I told my gp and she scripted me 100mg of silindifil; works wonders. Although it makes sex that is spontaneous a bit tricky to have as if you need to take the pill it takes maybe 20-30 minutes to start to have effect.

Also it's more likely than not, that it's the kratom and perhaps the ssri causing you these problems. I was on 14mg/day of clonazepam for almost 4 years and never had problems with getting it hard.
 
Yeah if the OP took SSRIs I would recommend cutting down on them.

I know klonpin doesn't affect my dick so I would really think Kratom is the culprit.

I did have a friend say benzos made him have trouble getting hard so I dunno.

I do know when I come off opiates I am really fucking horny.

Kratom is a shit drug imo and I don't get why people post about it like it is much more than a placebo.

Maybe find a hotter gf?
 
umm 4 mgs of klonopin a day and zoloft and u throw in zoloft as well and you will be basically be non functioning sexually..if i take 1 mg of klonopin my ability to get aroused and get an erection is hampered..just mentally i dont care much for sex when on benzos..kratom also reduces sex drive so you need to get off these drugs and start over..u are in a messy situation my friend..thats what i hate about anti-anxiety meds, they basically destroy my sex drive and desire, all of them do it..
 
IMHO I think SSRI's are what screw up your sex drive.

Benzos might if you don't actually need them.
