You're both explicitly looking for something serious that could possibly lead to a marriage and kids.

You decide it's time for sex, he gets undressed, and has this on his chest

What is your immediate reaction? How would you handle it? How would you respond?

i'm a guy, fwiw, but i think it's pretty cool.

what's the real question here?

alasdair

my assumption is that op is the guy and hasnt shown his gf his scarification mod. feeling out girls on interwebz to see if ppl think it is a deal breaker..

my thought is that if you could tell her abt it and show her it. before it is a suprise when ur getting naked before sex.

i personally am not a fan aesthetically, but i dont know u or the context behind it. its also ur body so who am i to judge.

Guy here and I think it looks cool also :) - It wasn't something done just for the sake of it, wasn't a drunken or high mistake and it has significant meaning to you.

If they didn't/don't accept it as part of you then move on as you clearly don't 'click'.

I have to admit we both still play video games, watch porn and jerk it - hasn't harmed our relationship.

That he likes pain. Idk, I would feel sketchy, honestly. But I'm super conservative.

I don't even date men with tattoos.

I should really add - that if I was 'dating' a guy and this didn't come up during conversation then I would be a bit surprised if the first time I found out about it was during sex.

Not talking about it would seem that your sort of hiding it - talk about it after a few dates.

No tattoos here either.

Is that cuts? I'd want to get you a band aid.

I'm a girl and it honestly wouldn't freak me out. I would want to know the story behind it. Other than that, I would give it little kisses all over because I'm romantic like that.

I can't imagine any woman having more of a reaction than asking wtf it is and how you got it. Before I scrolled down past the beard I thought it was going to be a picture of a micro-penis or something.

Please don't take this as offense as this is coming from a gamer recently bit by a rather strange bug.

My initial thought when viewing the picture was, "Wow, that is one seriously dedicated member of Team Valor."

Then I read your reasons for doing it and realized that this opinion is probably only going to complicate things for you. Good luck.

OP, you did this to "be a man?"

I can tell you that there are only certain girls who would appreciate something like that. It's too far out for me. Someone who cuts themselves to prove that he's a man would freak me out. You can be a man by loving your partner, supporting her (I mean emotionally not necessarily financially although some dudes do it), and having a close friendship where you guys are a team.
