Resolution of picenadol and thus ketobemidone.

Now if you compare ketobemidone and picenadol you will notice only a single C=O differs. I have read that 3-methyl ketobemidone analogs are antagonists but I put this to you - eve in the trans and cis isomers (inactive) could be resolved, do you think they would both be antagonists? I say not - I say that the tests carried out in the 50s do not reflect FACT.
