Okanagan RCMP have busted a massive indoor grow-op, in Falkland, B.C., housing 13,383 plants — one of the largest grow-ops ever seen in the region.
The plants were found in various stages of growth in a large outbuilding, powered by large gas generators on Wednesday said North Okanagan RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk.
"It's a very substantial marijuana grow operation. I think it's probably the largest in the last number of years, if not the largest. This is definitely going to have a dint in the marijuana that is being produced in our area," said Molendyk.

RCMP took a 38-year-old man who was found at the grow-op site into custody, but he has not been charged. The site had been under investigation for more than two years, police said.
The largest known marijuana bust in Canada was in Ontario in 2004, when officers seized 30,000 plants from a former Molson brewery facility. Police arrested 12 people in connection with the bust in 2010.
