why is it that most people you meet at parties have either been raving for less than 1 year, or more than 3? it seems like everyone is either a green newbie, or a hardened OG.
it seems like most people get into raving, totally fall in love with it, and then go one of two ways:
1. get involved in the scene (start promoting, learn to spin, etc.)
2. get burnt-out or bored with it
leading to a large population of new arrivals, and a small core of long-timers.
anyone else notice this, or is it just me?

If there truly are a lot of new arrivals compared to long-time ravers, then it probably means the scene is becoming increasingly popular. If the number of new comers is about the same as the number of long-timers, then that would probably mean the scene is steady-state. One need only look at demographic graphs to understand what I mean by all this.
