Hello, I've been dealing with depression and find if I take Tramadol, It helps to let me function like nothing else I've ever tried. I'm running out, it's hard to get now and I need meds that work! I wanted to make an appt with a Psychopharmacologist who is supposed to be great. Well He replied that he's booked two months out and he highly recommended a certain psychiatrist. I looked him up and he specializes in opiate addiction. I wonder if this is a great or bad choice. I don't take tramadol to get high. I take it to feel normal. I don't feel like a junky in the sense of this situation. Wondering if he would be the right choice. Thanks

Yes this is exactly the type of specialist I would want to use. I had a psych doctor and saw him for several years before I got addicted to oxycodone and he suggested suboxone. Being that you take tramadol with good results, this doctor may want for you to try an SSRI type medication. You're on the right track and I hope you get relief for your depression. :)
