I'm like a prisoner behind bars
look into my eyes
abandoned
inside this body which writes this poem
to you
I'm shivering
they always come uninvited
then leave without a warning
like an optical illusion
things appear and disappear
like a coincidence
like rolling the dice
like the space between my atoms
I'm not sure you would understand
I'm trying to erase it all
these faces keep adding to the collection
my emotions speak to me still
despite the darkness in my heart
that tries to erase it
angels visit me daily
just to touch my scars
while I stand on the edge of abyss
ready to jump
without saying a word
like a prisoner
in a last defiant act of happiness
