So I never take paracetamol because I fucking hate it. Most studies back up my theory (and even my doctor admitted he agrees) that it has zero analgesic effects in adults beyond placebo. It also tends to me me feel intensely nauseated and generally shitty, almost like I've been poisoned.

I've had severe nasal congestion/sinusitis for like 9 days now. A few days ago I went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist recommended these tablets to me that contain paracetamol and pseudoephedrine and I've noticed that while I've been taking them I seem to be feeling the effects of my opioids very noticeably more strongly than usual.

Does it really make that much of a difference?

What studies say paracetamol is placebo? Personally I definitely feel the analgesia from it. Obviously nothing like opioids but it's definitely not placebo for me.

Maybe the pseudo is giving this effect.
