Oxycontin OP 30mg and Klonopin

I've been prescribed 2mg klonopin daily, and I occasionally take 10mg perc or oxycodone instant release. This time, I came across a couple OP 30 oxycontin, non crushable, extended release. My question is, does the normal oxy still feel as strong as the extended release, but just takes longer to kick in and stay in your system longer? I cut the gel-like pill in half and popped it. (Because 30 mg is a little too much for me) and hour or so later, it just feels like I took a 5mg oxy or maybe a 10. Is this normal?

Those new extended release formulas are pretty bullet proof. I don?t think your experience is out of the ordinary.

Many pain patients who did not abuse their oxycontin complained big time when the OP's were introduced because the same dose did not sufficiently help with their pain. So no, it's not abnormal.
