Hi all
For just over a year now I've been taking olanzapine. 10mg for the first 6 months and 7.5mg for the latter 6 months. I take this medication for sleep. My nurse practitioner just put me on 5mg which I have not started yet.
In the meantime since taking olanzapine I've tried smoking weed countless times and it doesn't get me high, like at all. I haven't gotten truly stoned in a year. I was really worried about this so I asked my nurse practitioner if I would be able to get high again once I'm off the olanzapine. She said "probably not". This naturally freaked me the hell out.
I used to love getting high, and I desperately want to get high again. Thankfully, everyone I talked to so far has told me I'll be able to get high again once I'm off the olanzapine. But I wanted to ask you all? Is this issue of not getting high permanent or just a side effect?
